Why use a Recruitment agency?

Mental health at work

A recent poll has shown that candidates prefer to engage with a recruitment agency when looking for work and feel that agencies are more passionate about finding them their dream roles as opposed to in-house recruitment/HR specialists.

This is not a question about the quality or standard of the recruitment tools and processes used across many businesses. It is quite certain that a lot of time and resources (money) is put into your recruitment campaigns and advertising avenues. However, one thing to remember is all this effort can simply just be in vain.

One very important factor to bear in mind is job seekers prefer to use a recruitment agency to find suitable opportunities, as opposed to directly looking themselves. This is because they understand that we essentially do the job hunting for them! We do all the leg work, while all they do is say yes or no to jobs put forward. It’s a no brainer really. They know that as a recruitment agency, this is our specialism and area of expertise, and we are driven by getting to know our candidates inside out so that we can aptly match them to relevant positions within relevant organisations. All the mundane tasks of reviewing job adverts, formatting their CV’s, chasing job references, making the application which, let’s face it, can be very mundane are taken out of their hands.

Another thing to bear in mind is a lot of the time the best candidates are already in employment (they are like gold dust!), therefore simply do not have the necessary time nor energy it takes to sift through long, comprehensive job advertisements after a long day at work. Recruitment agencies reach out to those passive job seekers, the ones who are open to new opportunities, but are also a bit complacent and not active enough to do something about it. The ones who just need a little nudge in the right direction.

That’s where we become appealing.

So before you consider budgeting for any additional recruitment drives or campaigns coming up within your business, blindly investing heaps of cash into elaborate yet futile advertising efforts from your HR and/or marketing teams, instead just hit us up at Bryan & Co Associates, who will prove to be a lot more cost effective for you in the long run.

You can thank me later.
